Google “Business coach near me”.  How do you choose the right coach for you?

Before they started coaching, all of our clients asked the questions “Is business coaching right for me?” and “which business coach near me is going to get me where I want to be?”

Is Business Coaching Right For Me?

Did you know… that the top 5% of CEOs, directors, business owners, entrepreneurs most likely have more than one business coach? They have a coach for all parts of their business and lives. This is because they know that although they might be top of their game, there is always a next-level, and to get to that next-level they need to be held accountable to it… this is why they are in the top 5%.

Not convinced? Here’s what an externally conducted survey of Andy Hemming’s clients revealed.

Which Business Coach Near Me?

So who is the “best business coach near me”? Well this depends on your goals, your business, and most importantly, finding a coach that you relate to, understands you, and that will push you to get you where you want to be.

Look at the location of the business coach, what they have achieved, are they up-to-date, what their background is, and most of all, be willing to chat with them and ask great questions.

The worst course of action is no action.  You have nothing to lose from getting some new ideas… but a lot to lose if you don’t.

Okay. So think of it like this…

Have you ever eaten in a bad restaurant?  Do you still eat in restaurants?  Chances are, the answer to both questions is “Yes”.

So why do we still eat in restaurants if we’ve had bad experiences?  For starters, we know what questions to ask, so how to tell a good restaurant from a bad one.  And now, when we Google “restaurants near me”, the first thing we see is Trip Advisor.  If you saw a restaurant with a 5-star review, then you’d be pretty confident that you’d have a good meal there.  We rely on the opinions of other people like us who have experienced the restaurant and, in their opinion, rated it highly.

So why is coaching any different?  Of course, there is a range of coaches out there:  Some of them may get the equivalent of a 1-star Trip Advisor rating, and others 5 stars.  In the same way as a restaurant, it is possible to come and sit at the table, take a look at the menu, and leave without having to buy anything. Someone would only come back and sit at the table again if they had a good experience, wouldn’t they?
